Sami Poimala - keyboards

Sami has been playing keyboards since he was 5 years. First, he was just a "family-entertainer" and it was not until 13 when he had his first real band. It was just studying playing together and no own songs were written. And the musical style of the band was not so satisfying. But as Sami comes from a small village there wasn't other choices.

After the band broke up, there was a few restful years. Family-entertainer again, after a little rock-trip.

Then, suddenly, Sami got to know one band that totally changed his life, Dream Theater. As he didn't have a band at this time he started to play with Images and Words. It was about three years playing with Dream Theater until second band came true. It was the first touch to making own music.

Then, a year later, Sami moved to Jyväskylä and started to look for a local band. He had pretty many choices and got requests from Helsinki to Kuopio and from everywhere in the stretch.

During the Jyväskylä years Sami found his way into bands like Clarity and Bronze Doré. And in 2002, he was asked to join Morian.
